Toshihiro Tanaka

(Lecturer)

Hi! I'm Toshihiro Tanaka, a lecturer at the English Department. I was born in Kashiwa in 1967, and spent most of my first 22 years at Hiroike-Gakuen (the Reitaku Campus). Like many of my colleagues, I am one of the graduates of the English Department (and the English Drama Group) of Reitaku University. After graduating Reitaku in 1990, I went to the Master's, and then, the Doctoral Program of University of Tsukuba and spent most of my twenties in the cozy university-town at the foot of Mt. Tsukuba.

My major is Canadian political and diplomatic history. (University of Tsukuba is one of the academic centers on Canadian Studies in Japan.) It is not easy to explain why I chose Canadian history as my major; I can tell you, however, how interesting Canada is. I do expect many students will drop in my office to chat with me.

Now I have some English "Enshu" Classes--Current English & Reading, and some Area Studies courses--Canadian Studies and Introductory courses on American and British Studies. Hoping I can help you enjoy your campus life at Reitaku. See you in my office or in the classroom.
