Prudence and Pressure Reproduction and Human Agency in Europe and Asia, 1700-1900
(MIT 2010) by Noriko O. Tsuya, Wang Feng, George Alter, James Z. Lee, et al. 
has just been awarded the Best Book Award ("gakkai-sho") among the books published 
in 2009 and 2010 by the Population Association of Japan (PAJ)!

The book was unanimously voted as the best among the books published by members of 
the PAJ during these two years.  As the first author and a member of the PAJ, 
Noriko O. Tsuya been requested to give a talk/speech about the book at the general 
assembly of the PAJ annual meeting which is scheduled to be held on 
June 2 (Saturday) at the University of Tokyo.
